Such asshame, Iused tohighly rate this practice but unfortunately the Good Pro-Active Doctors seem tohave come & gone. Now left with GP's that for melack complete empathy & put figures before results. Absolutely Zero Patient— Doctor relationship. The Admin, Reception & Nursing staff Ifind brilliant. Just lackadaisical GP's (at the moment) Just myopinion..

LovelyGP.
Terrible receptionist. Ignores people when they walk in— atthe very least say «I'll bewith you ina minute».
Patient Access does not let you book appointments and Ihave never waited less than 15minutes toget through tosomeone.
Terrible telephone manners.00

Absolutely amazing experience. Myyoung daughter has amedical condition soshe was offered anextra jab children her age don’t usuallyget. She was soscared togo but managed toget her there. The nurse wesaw was absolutely amazing, keeping mydaugter comfortable & calm the entire time. Mydaughter didn’t even cry and said itdidn’t really hurt. She came home very happy with the experience. She was even given alovely teddy for her ‘bravery’. Asthis process issomething she has toget used to, weare very grateful tothe nurse and other staff involved for making her and our experience sopositive. Thank you somuch ️… – show

I have had two interactions with the Surgery since registering inMay. The service has been outstanding. First with someone over the phone, and second time using the e-consult platform. The team members were friendly and efficient which isremarkable considering the pressures onthe NHS and inPrimary Care. Thank you for all your hard work. Ed

I have never had adoctors sobad they don't listen don't help and want you gone out ofthere offices before you have even sat down. Iwish they could spend aday walking around with the pain Ihave and Ibet then they would prescribe something forit. The receptionist and the doctors pa's are fantastic just ashame about the doctors

This isa practice who focuses more onsaving money than patient care

I had anappointment later onin the day tosee DrChandy and checked inwith the receptionist for myappointment. Icannot tell you how nice itwas tobe dealt with such ahappy friendly lady. Inormally don’t bother looking atname badges but this time Ifelt the need toremember the name soI can leave areview toshow myappreciation, sohopefully Gemma Miller sees this review please know that even with amask onyour smile was very evident and infectious. Itmakes such achange from the the usual stereotypical grumpy unhelpful receptionist that makes you wish you had never bothered speaking tothem and that you being there iscausing them anger and upset and somehow your the one that still says please and thankyou. Any way alittle off track but Ican say that Gemma Miller isa credit toyour team and Ihope that any future appointments I’m met with the same smile only hopefully next time without amask.… – show

Doctors here are ok— some great, some lessso. The management and organisation isappalling. IfI had the energy and time tofight the NHS systems, orif Iwas aregular, I'd definitely goelsewhere.
Update— Aug21. I've found the energy, ifnot the time. Ican't take the 'couldn't care less' attitude atthe Friarsgate surgery any more. Can't provide abasic prescription (repeat) without GPsignoff, even though it's anOTC medication, and can't get mean appointment Ican actually attend— o
r book mea future appointment. And that attitude.Wow.Oh, and that response? I've tried contacting the practice. That's really the problem!… – show00

I have had areally positive experience recently atthe Friarsgate practice. Icalled first thing about concerning symptoms. Igot acall back from DrNaik within only afew hours. She made sure Ihad treatment thatday, before the weekend, even though mytests were not obviously showing one thing inparticular. The treatment Igot meant Iwas comfortable again indays. Ifyou want towait 40mins tospeak toanyone every time you call then you might behappy here. Ihave had 3different gps over these years and Ican’t say Iwould recommend anyone. I have been going tothe Friarsgate practice for over twenty years (starting originally when they were inthe centre ofWinchester). Ihave nothing but positive things tosay. Originally seen byDr Mann, and then byhis successor DrSalvaratnam. Always prepared totake time tolisten toany issues and extremely helpful all the time. During these exceptional times ofCovid, the practice has run aservice oftriaging the patients which Ihave found very useful. Absolute joke ofa surgery since turning into aCCG. The doctors only care about one thing and that isthe commercial side ofthe business.
Been waiting over 3weeks for areferral toget adouble break inmy wrist looked atand aPT plan put inplace.
Every time Ihave ever used this place the result has always been the same, gosort itout myself whether that isdoing the research online orgoing getting sorted privately.

This isthe worst doctors surgery Ihave attended throughout the world. There are too many instances toindivually complain about but the terrible attitude ofthe receptionists isa bigone. Also the apparent lack ofcare from some ofthe nurses and doctors.Dr. Wright was nice but apart from that Iwouldn't step foot inthere again. For two years mylife has gone from being anathlete tobeing almost housebound because ofan illness still unknown tothem. IfI could give zero stars Iwoulddo.

Well done team, lets hope idont end upin aworse condition! Thank you for making mefeel alone with myproblem and not listenedto. This isalso not the first time ihave experienced this and from the same people.
Most ofthe team inthis place lack compassion and itis ashame because there are 2doctors that are actually good attheir jobs. The rest ofyou could learn athing ortwo about how tocare for people and make them feel cared for asthat isin fact yourjob!… – show00

You might not beable tosee your own GPimmediately (or even inseveral days perhaps), but wehave always been able tosee aGP within aday ortwo, and the care has always been professionally delivered. Ifwe really need tospeak toour GPurgently, then itis normally possible byphone onthe sameday. The surgery inWeeke ismodern, comfortable and clean, and the reception staff are welcoming (if sometimes abit overburdened). GPs always dotheir best tostick toappointment timesbut, teh nature ofgeneral practice means you never exactly what apatient iscoming inwith and sothis can sadly mean that sometimes clinicians can run late. Ifa patient islate toan appointment the clincian will always beasked ifit ispossible for them tostill see the patient aswe docertainly appreciate that patients can sometimes get delayed bycircumstances outside oftheir control.
If you ever feel you need more than the usual 10minute appointment asyou wish todiscuss more than one things then dolet the Care navigation/ reception team know and they will ofcourse ask the clinician ifthey can book adouble appointment.… – show00

Even with their new “improved” systems which claims toanswer all calls within 4mins, just today myhusband was waiting ina queue for 20mins.

Atrocious, soulless practice.
First contact: reception. You face ahideous muddle ofphone options, after waiting ina queue ofother calls; this adds tothe stress offeelingill, orthe need for adoctor's advice.
Too many part-time doctors, meaning one's 'own' doctor (arbitrarily allocated) isquite likely tobe unavailable. This leads back toa chase through possible contacts via the phone system, toaccess analternative, appropriate source ofhelp. Ihave seen the doctor allocated tome, only twice since registering, and since Isuffer aseries ofdisabling, chronic disorders find myself explaining complex situations repeatedly tofaceless voices.
Cheerless environment, very barrack-like. Just what amedical service should NOT belike. Steer clear.… – show00
